Try adjusting your steering box before you start replacing parts. There is a tech article around here, on how to do it. At least I thought it was for our trucks..?? Ill see if I can find it......

You can ruin a steering box if you adjust it too much= $$$$. My rig only has 65K on it and it needs the whole front end rebuilt; tie rod ends, track bar, ball joints upper and lower. I'm getting the feeling from searching this forum that Moog parts are best, and get all the parts you can with grease fittings. I'm looking at $1700 with alignment. Its OK on the highway but wanders all over town like a drunken sailor!

Unhappy Loose front end

I had the same problem and I found that all 4 ball joints were bad. I got Moog brand as replacements at $320.00 for all of them. If it turns out that this is your problem, be warned - it is a pain in the neck to change them yourself.
