Great choice in speakers!
I had some 5 1/4 MB Quarts that I took out of my 2nd gen doors. I used some lexan to make the adapters for that truck. They needed to be thin but strong. If the adapter is too thick, the speaker may hit the door trim when it extends. I put the 5 1/4's in the rear door speakers of my 03 and purchased some new (I think they are 6's) component seperates for the front doors.
I had to trim a little bit of the door to get the speaker frame to fit in the back door of my 03, and had to make some filler pieces for the fronts. (used lexan) I mounted the tweeters up in the stock location in dash and under the windshield and had to make some straps to hold them in. The installation was definately not plug and play, and took a little while, but it was worth it. They sound really good.
I did not get any pics of the install, but the door trim panels come off pretty easy, just remove the screws, the door handle (pull out/up and look under for fastener I think its a 10 mm), and lift the entire trim up and out of the way. Oh, and be careful not to pull too far until you disconnect the plugs for the windows, locks, ect.
