Front Bumper Face Lift
Sick and tired of the old faded fog lights and the gray portion of the p.o.s. bumper.
Painted with 3 thick coats of the Krylon Camoflauge Ultra-Flat Black and put in some cheap walmart fog lights. The paint has stood up well on my rockcrawler...we'll see how it fairs against the Mississippi bugs down here.
Sort of a temporary fix until I can afford a winch bumper.
I'm happy with the way it came out.

looks good before I got the homemade bumper I did the same with all of the plastic. I used stuff from the auto store from duplicolor that was for plastic and for bumpers. I dont have no were near the bugs you have but that paint sucked took one summer to look bad. I even used the pre spray for plastic. the next time around I used black paint from krylon made for plastic did 4 coats and that was the ticket. still good when I took it off for the other bumper. hope yours holds up good job.

Don't want to spoil things here, but doesn't the air dam do a job? I think it forces air up through the grill so the radiator gets more air flow. It probably doesn't make any difference if you don't haul a heavy load or tow, but as I recall it's there for a reason.

ohhhhh! That was a mean shot at those Chrysler engineer types! I am thinking of a set of Wad-Mart running lights as well. What make/model number did you use and what was the cost? They look good, as does your bumper treatment!

The only thing I could think of would be an extra few inches of protection from rocks/debris getting kicked up to the front of the motor.
It would also be better for going through deep water, keeping a nice wake in front of the truck.

I threw the box out a long time ago. But if you go to walmart you should be able to see which ones you want. I want to say the name on the box was 'Lightburners'. I did some artistic work with a benchgrinder and the stock mounts and they came out good. I don't even use the fogs, but it was worth the $20 over looking at the pee colored factory fogs.
