I took everything apart to try to replace u-joint and ball joints. Could not get the hub out so I put it all back together. Now when I brake, just before a complete stop, the ABS goes off. What did I do wrong when I put the sensor back in? Thanks

Are you talking about the small sensor that is screwed down on the top side of the knuckle/hub?

If so, did you put a small film of grease over the sensor's tip?

Make sure all the connects are tight and the wire did not get kinked or have been rubbed down.........mine goes off every now and then, for an unknown reason.

Can you feel the ABS kick on an push the pedal back up? If so, is the truck pulling to one side when this happens? My truck pulls to the right when the ABS will kick on, meaning the left ABS sensor is tripping.

Good luck! I took mine all apart and could not determine what is causing the ABS/Brake light to come on the dash or figure out why the driver side front ABS is kicking on........

Yes, that is correct. I took it out from the drivers side. Just thinking about it now I did wipe off the grease that was on it because some rust flakes got on it. I can feel the brakes pulse and it pulls right. I will take it back out and put some grease on it. Is there any special kind of electrical grease required?

I just used a small film or covering of axle grease

Thanks D45, I took it back off tonight and it had some rust particles on it, cleaned it off, cleaned the hole with a Q-tip, cleaned the surface of the hub, applied some grease to surface and tip.......works perfect now.
