freeze plug issues
i have several freeze plugs start leaking on my dodge, the previous owner put well water in the radiator. i ordered some new ones from dodge and replaced the 3 on the right side of the block. but now the front one and the back one started leaking. and the head gasket leaks water too. i was wanting to replace all the freeze plugs including all the little ones on top of the head and the tiny ones too. i need to know where all the freezers are located on the engine. i think i remember some under the valve covers and i cant remember if there are any under the pushrod cover on the left side of the block, im sure someone knows better than me where they all are. now, what are the sizes of them all? i know from experience that standard 2-1/4" plugs dont work, i ordered some from dodge and they were like a metric number like 58.62mm or something, but they are bigger than 2-1/4 ones. i want to replace them with brass ones!! even if i have to pull the whole motor out since i will have the head off, i might as well o-ring the head and put bearings in it. then i got a turbo and manifold from a 05 and i am wanting to put 4k gsk and twin turbo kit from aroura on it. might as well do it right. but main question is where are all the freeze plugs at and where can i get brass ones? i am really worried about the ones lieaking water into the crankcase!!!! that would be a nightmare!
