Found 12V truck - need reassurance before buying
Hey guys,
Found a "genuine" old lady owned 94 12v single cab/auto/srw with 195k on it. She owned it since 5k miles, drove 100 miles per day, never went over speed limit, etc... No accidents, clean...mechanic maintained. Can get it for $5k - almost sure it is a great deal but just needed reassurance that it is.
Will check for KDP...other than that, should be good to go right? Just a cheap extra work truck is what I am looking for...and I hear great things about the 12v. Should I go for it? My theory is that I could always get my $$ back out of it if needed.......

Go For it!! Even if the truck would turn out to be junk you could still get your money back by selling the engine and drivetrain componets prolly, and if it is in that good of shape it is a great deal. There's one in the trader here with 275,000 for something like 9k or so i think so, 5k is a good deal.

Went to pick up the 'new' truck on thursday. More than I expected. Interior had seat covers on until the day she sold it to me - perfect seats. Had all services done, recalls taken care of, she used Fleetguard filters, changed her air filter every other oil change, new tires, etc.....She was sad to see it go - but I was happy to see it going to me. The fuel shutoff fusible link 'blew' on the way home...so will have to get that checked out monday. Thanks to Dwayne Berger in Bryan - called him when the truck wouldn't start and he told me what to do to get it started and get back home. He has a customer for life
Other than that, I'm happy with the purchase. Thanks again for all the advice.
