is the ford really getting slower
just finished watching motorweek review of the ford powerstroke 6.0 on speedvision
of course they were impressed with it as it is a nice truck
however i remember the road test done by pickuptruck.com and talking about how fast the new 6.0 was
many ford fans have been talking about ford detuning the trucks for various reasons
when motorweek did thier road test times they did not match up with pickuptruck, com times
pickup truck origional quotes were
0-60 9.12
1/4 mile 16.82 @ 82 mph
motorweek latest test
0-60 9.7
1/4 mile 17.3 @75 mph
that is over 1/2 second slower in both the 1/4 and 0-60 times
and 7 mph slower
so do you think the ford fans claims are right or can thiere be that much differance in different test ???

Re:is the ford really getting slower
I've seen car tests from different magazines over the years that were over 1 second different ............there's so many factors that affect 1/4 mile speed

I also saw that Motorweek Road Test today.
After mentioning that it had 325HP and 560lb-ft of torque they mentioned that it beat the Duramax and only the Cummins with the manual (5sp?) had more grunt - implying of course that the Cummins was rated higher.
I was not aware that any of the Cummins versions were rated more than the PSD's 325HP and 560lb-ft. Has anything changed recently that I'm missing?

Re:is the ford really getting slower
Am I correct in assuming Ford is claiming 325 flywheel horsepower, and not rear wheel? Also 560 at the flywheel is a lot different than 560 at the wheels.
