When I turn the bright lights off there is a delay before the fog lights come back on sometimes being 3-5 minutes with it always being no less than a minute. Well i thought it was maybe a bad relay so i put in a new relay while the lights were off and all of a sudden the passenger fog light came on. When i actually turned the lights on the passenger one goes off and the driver side lamp comes on. yet when I put the old relay in it works just fine except for the delay. Any reason why it would be doing this? Thanks for any help

Just a thought, but did you get the right relay. Just wondering because there is some different configured relays. Its the only thing i can think of that would cause that.

The parts guy looked at the wiring diagrams on the relay and said they were both the same.

Yeah but ya gotta wonder why he's a parts guy and not an electrician!!!!

check for a bad ground on the fog lights.
