Fog light installation on '06 2500
Hey all,
I have a 2006 Dodge 2500 without the foglights. I ordered an OEM (factory) foglight kit to install. Everything is pretty straightforward in the installation, but before I started ripping apart the dash, I wanted to ask if someone else has done this. There doesn't appear to be any mounting bolts. How do I get the panel off that covers the light switch/selector in the dash? A new light switch comes with the kit. Any help would be appreciated.

My 04.5 you just had to use someting flat like a screwdriver and pry it from the front side, took let than a minute, but that was years ago. But I am pretty sure this is how I did it, plus there was a installation book with mine. Hope it helps.

Here's what you do...
This is my post from a year ago after I installed mine.
The instructions "show" you (there are no words, only diagrams) to remove the panel around the radio first (if you have the floor mounted cup holders I think it needs to come off first), then the panel below the steering column, then the panel around the instrument panel-this also has the switch mounted to it.
What I did is remove the panel below the steering column (2 screws on the bottom and pull it off). Then remove 3 screws holding the switch/instrument panel. Then pull the panel out on the left side until you can reach in behind the switch and unplug the wire harness from the switch. May be hard to do if you have big hands. There are 3 screws holding the switch. Use a 8mm socket or a very short philips screwdriver and remove the screws.
