Flux 3's and a Helix 2 in a towing truck?
Don M/F1 Vendors,
Hopefully you or one of your vendors can answer if running the Flux 3's and a Helix 2 & springs would be too much heat for a towing truck. I really want to do these upgrades but not if it means it will be running too hot. Would adding a W/M system take care of the problem? Thanks for any info.

lots of water (no menthenol) and lots of air. 3's are big but the cam will help out alot. still might get toasty. i tow with my truck sometimes but leave the boxes off and my egts dont get past 1250.

Tim,
I am glad you responded. I am headed out to Afganistan in a few weeks and while I'm would be the best time to get the work done. I can arrange to have my truck brought to you to get the work done. Can you PM me with a quote for ARP studs, Helix 2, Springs, and Flux 3's. I am supposed to have Flux injectors in there right now but have never been able to confirm. Thanks.

I tow with mine and I don't even have the Helix 2 yet, I still have the ATS cams. I run the Smarty on #9 and the TST on 1/0, 0 timing, 1 rail pressure, and the TT05 program (going to change to the 03). I have only towed about 8,500 lbs. with about 1,000 pounds of cargo in my truck plus whatever my truck weighs (I would guess around 9K). Hope this helps.

When I tow I dont have a CDL and maintain a gross weight of 26K or less with truck, trailer and cargo. I have heard from others tha's not much for these trucks but it seems to get pretty hot with that load right now. I just dont need to add anyhthing to the truck that will damage it to the point of needing major repairs. Turning down the electronics would be the easiest thing to do and very easy since everything I have is adjustable or can be reprogrammed. I was just concerned with it running too hot even with all of the boxes/tuners turned down.
