anybody know the fluid capacity in the rear differential? any suggestions on fluid manufacturers i should use?

yep and if you do some Heavi-duty towing,,,,, get the anti-wear additive, slickem stuff to go with it,,,,

If you are out of warranty,,,,,,,, Any of the quality Synthetics will, work,,,,, Aka,,, Royal Purple, Amsoil, etc

Any GL-5 rated synthetic gear oil in 75w90 will work great. I use Mobil 1 with great results.

You do not need any additives in our AAM axles. Just the gear oil.

Some people use additives to reduce/eliminate any chatter you may have while turning. Pay attention to the recommended fill level, 1/2" below the plug, or you will get leakage at the seal.

OP: I used Royal Purple 75w-90 because it was readily available, and I've been happy with it. It took just under 4 qts for the rear diff and just under 3 for the front.

If you are still under warranty I would use what Chrysler recomends, and don't forget to save your receipts. First thing any dealer will ask you when you bring your truck in with a diff noise. When was the last time you changed your fluid in your diff.
