flexplate

hello all im looking for a flex plate for my 1993 5.9 12 valve automatic. does anyone know where i can get a decent one i went to the trans shops down here and there all giving me a runaround so please help! i need to make sure this one will fit forsure before i buy cause they are kinda spendy thanks!

Buy one for a second gen truck they are a little thicker.

Ya see..... i thought that to Bill, so when mine went south i went to a junk yard and scored one off a 94 and it mikes the exact same as my 93 did.

if anyone has had a different experence please speek up., cause i'm wondering if they had the year wrong on the one i bought.

I bought one for from a member here that was for a second gen and it was half again thicker than the one I had stock. Is there any chance that someone already put a second gen plate in yours?

i have no idea but its pretty thin less than an 1/8. if i get one from a second gen and its twice as thick will the bell housing sit flush with tho motor is that a problem?

I guess it's possible.

I will find my broken one and put some calipers on it.

I will dig my stock one out and put a set of calipers on it to and see what I get when I get a minute.

I have one of them & it has been in the truck for approx 3 years A very good peace for a lot less then some manufactures
