Fittings

Where are you guys finding the fittings (parker push-loc) for 2 micron fuel filters. I have a base and want to make my own set-up. Also what size fuel line are you using?
Thanks;

I am using an AN/JIC-12 (3/4") pressed on fittings for absolute no leak. Your local hydraulic shop should have JIC fittings of all sizes or they can make you a custom hose to fit your truck.

My NAPA parts store has them, I would assume all the NAPA stores have them. You probably could do a search on google and get a listing of several places to order them from as well.

If you aren't sure of the sizes, pull up an install manual from some place that sells the 2-micron kits, then you'd have all the parts listed on the pars list for the kit.

You might have more success on the net by searching:

Parker Push-Lok Fittings
Parker Series 82 Fittings

The exact part# for the fitting you want can be found on the Parker Website Literature section by viewing / downloading "Fittings" Catalog 4400 US, section B PDF file. It is a large file ~28MB, so I'd be tempted to just print pages B-166 through B-181, corresponding to the "Push-Lok" Series 82 fittings rather than save the entire file with all the other fitting series.

Append B for Brass or C for Stainless Steel to the part # in the first column of the table for the specific connection you want. Print page B-3 for a detailed break down of the part # code.

For example a Push-lok 1/2" MNPT to 3/8" hose adapter in brass is 30182-8-6B. Searching the net for the exact part number will bring up a number of hits also.

Here is what I used. For the fitting coming out of the fuel bowl where your stock filter is and I used this same fitting for the inlet on your cp3 it is 991944ERL. Which then attached to a 90 degree aluminum fitting and its part number is AT809106ERL. Now I used a Baldwin FB1311 filter base and to attach a -6AN fitting to it I had to get a reducer, that took it from a -10 to a -6AN. Its part number is 10OR-06-AN (the third number in that part number is an "Oh", not a zero) Then I used the same 90 degree AT809106ERL to come off the fuel base down to where my cp3 and fuel bowl are. I will include pics of all this tomorrow if I have time. I know this probably doesnt make any sense. But a run down of what I used is this...
AT809106ERL -6 90Deg. (4pcs) one coming off fuel bowl, one coming off the cp3 and 2 off the filterbase

991944ERL -6 to 12mm x 1.50 (2pcs) one goes into the cp3 and one into the fuel bowl

350006ERL -6 Pro-Lite Hose Bulk (3 ft) The hose I used. Black nylon braided, looks good I think with black anodized fittings

10OR-06-AN -10 to -6AN Adapter (2pcs) one goes on in the inlet of filter base and the other obviously goes on the outlet. (Remember the third digit in that part number is an "Oh", not a zero.)

The filter I am using is a CAT 1R-0750

If I need to make myself more clear let me know. This is the exact setup I am using. Good luck! The install was a breeze. All parts were bought from Parker, except for the filter and the filter base.

I bought all my fittings at a place called Parker. They are a franchise, so they may have a location near you. The sun is setting here so my light is not good enough for pictures tonight. I will snap some good ones for you tomorrow and post them up with descriptons. I used 3/8 fuel line that has an actual OD of .55". If you really need, feel free to PM me and I will give you my phone number to also help.

Ok here we go. If you need more info. Let me know.
Some side notes:
For the holes that mount your fuel mount to the backside of the intake horn I drilled some 11/32" holes that were 3 5/16" on center. This way you can utilize the pre-exisisting holes on your intake horn. If you want to be safe drill the holes 3/8" to make sure you have enough clearance. (Thats what I would do next time).

After everything is in and snug. Put your key in the ignition and just "bump" the starter, do NOT start the engine, this will allow your pump to run for about 20 seconds and fill your fuel system up. I did this twice for a total of 40 seconds of run time on my pump to ensure proper fuel system priming. Once it was time to start my truck it fired right up with no sputtering or hesitation. Check for leaks while truck is running. Then go for a drive and come home and check once more. You shouldnt have any problems as I (knock on wood) have not had one single drop leak yet since I installed this on Sunday.

Please excuse my dirty cp3 pic. It was not that dirty during intall. I just got back from a little dirt road expedition. It will get a bath this evening. BE SURE TO CLEAN THE TOP OF YOUR CP3 BEFORE REMOVING ANYTHING!!!! As this will go straight into your pump with no filtration whatsoever. Thats a bad thing.
Anyway, hope all this helps... Keep me updated on how it goes and if you need any further information.

Anybody with an 03 make this mod where did you mount the filter. It can't be mounted there on the 03 because of the APPS.
