First tow = No go
After spending Tuesday afternoon feverishly loading everything into the truck, hooking up the trailer, and loading the Jeep... I thought it wise to take a test spin & top off the tank.
Issue #1 = It could barely hold 60mph on the hills just north of me (Hwy52 to Mt.Airy) matted... I assume this could be taken care of by a couple turns on the various screws? Boost was running 15-18#max and the EGT never rose above 900-950*.
Issue #2 = After just 1 mile on the highway matted in 3rd, the tranny temp quickly found 220*. I had wired a switch into the factory/dealer aux. cooler under the bed to insure it *would* come on... which it did, but seemed no match for the tranny. OTOH, maybe 220* in the cooler outlet is normal? The gauge & sender are brand new Isspro so I figured it should be reading pretty dang close, and the sender is in the OEM OD defeat location on the outlet tube.
Figuring it wise not to push an untested rig 800miles, we ended up cross docking everything into my brothers 2500HD BB ga$$er

Sounds like a stock truck to me. When I got mine it could not keep up with my 70 chevy with a 350 when towing the jeep. I did some adjustments and had it satisfactory. Now I went and bought a heavier trailer and rig to tow and can't hold 65 in OD (getrag) again on the rolling hills here in eastern KS pulling around 6000-7000 lbs.
Time to break the lock collar off the adjustment screw I guess and see what happens.... probably just to much EGT as I already run 1100 up hills as it is now with around 18lbs of boost.

You can adjust for more power, sounds like you have plenty of room.
220 is OK where you are measuring. Consider 250 to be the absolute max at that port.

Yeah, it could be that the fuel screw (removed for 366 spring) didn't get twisted completely back to where it started. On that day, had my son with me, a 100 miles back home, was about 95* out and... I have NO metric tools to my name! So we erred on the side of safety...
I WILL work on turning up the juice in the next few weeks... slammed this week & heading to the coast next week.
I still need to talk to McMopar a bit about the tranny... he told me 240* was the "pull over & let it cool" point. Not having any track record on this rig to go from, I was VERY leery of pushing it another 795 miles when it was getting to 220* 5 miles from the house... still about 90* out, but the sun was down. We hit a MAJOR squall heading back to the house and she didn't cool down much at all when the torrent hit... it would seem the spray off the road getting sucked into the underbed cooler and all the water flowing thru the grill cooler should have had a pronounced effect on it... which is what led me to think it might just fine at 220* (as long as that's the high mark!)
