First post, bought my second CTD
My first CTD was an '01.5, ETH/DEE. I bought it new, owned it, Bombed it and drove it for seven years and 60K miles. I was active on the TDR then, and signed up here when I let that subscription lapse. Shortly after that I lost interest in the truck and traded it in for an FJ Cruiser for my wife.
Today I bought a red '08 with the 6 speed auto and only 2300 miles on it. Apparently it's a lease return from a construction company. I love the tranny, but I'm not sure what to make of all the extra stuff on the engine. I've kept up on things a little, I was aware of the DPF but there's some things on that engine that are going to take me some figuring to decipher.
I'm holding my breath to see what kind of milage I can get out of this truck, my last one started out good, then fell off after a couple years. That was the main reason I lost interest in it.
It's good to be back in a CTD, I haven't found another truck yet that feels this good on the road.

Welcome I hope you stay in love with your new truck the new trannys are great depending on what you do to the truck you can get good mileage or bad don't get discouraged to quick a friend of mine got the 6.7 and was ready to sell it before it broke in due to lower mileage than his 5.9 but after 30,000 it was improving and he is happy.
