First Oil Change...Saw the Flywheel
Just did the first oil change at 4,500. Drain plug and filter were tight, but not put on by the gorilla in Mexico , truck built 5/03. I noticed that there was no cover plate on the transmission at the flywheel (48RE). Seems to me that on my earlier vehicles, including a 96 Ram 1500, there was a plate that screwed into the transmission that procted the flywheel (not to mention fingers and kitty cats ) from exposure. Is mine missing this part or do the rest of you have the bottom of your flywheel exposed ???

Take a trip back to a dealer and climb underneath one and take a look. That's what I do when I think mine is different from the others. Beside I just like pissing off the dealerships when I come back and know more than they know about the truck ;D ;D ;D

Guy L: Take it back to the dealer and have them to install the missing piece . My truck has the cover on , can't see my flywheel. When they fired the gorilla, they must of fired the dust cover installer .<br>Really, your's should be on.
