Hey Justin don't sweat it, we'll get Jimbo to meet us in phoenix, Ben, you, Jimbo and I will take the tdi! Springs will be sagging a bit but it will only cost us $350 in fuel lol! What better excuse to go someplace thats not 118 degrees.

For those attending this get together, Bill's home was recently victim to a storm that ravaged the south jersey area, particularly Buena and Mays Landing. He and his wife are fine, but the storm blew off a portion of roof and felled several trees. He has no power for at least a week according to the electric company and has set up a large generator to run his AC and essentials. Basically he has no phone service, cable, or internet. He may postpone but he will let everyone know by this coming weekend.

Thanks for the offers guys my place is kind of a mess right now but I am trying to get it cleaned up. They say we won't have electric until Friday at midnight but my boss was kind enough to lend me a generator when mine went down. I dont have a bbq grill to cook on because the storm smashed it it pieces. I am trying to get things sorted out and I will let you guys know what is going on as soon as I know what I can do. I don't have any internet or cell service at my house so if I can't post I will text Paul and ask him to let you guys know what I am doing. Thank god the trees fell away from my house and not towards it or my wife and I would not be here. But part of the roof came off and I was poking holes in the sheet rock with my knife to let the water drain to keep the entire ceiling from falling in. So needless to say my house is a mess at best.

Glad to hear you're OK, Bill. The wife too !

People are difficult to repair or replace, while the house can be rebuilt relatively easily.

Give me a call when things settle down.

Sorry to hear about that Bill. Anything else damaged? Your garage? Car?

Mopar1973
07-04-2012, 01:30 AM
No Brandon the Duster is safe lol only small branches fell on that container. No other vehicles were damaged from what I saw but his grill is smashed to pieces, kitchen is in need of attention, and there is a huge tree (80ft?) that would have crushed his house to bits that was uprooted and sent the other way. Some branches are split up high in the trees too. Nothing major was damaged besides the house in which case he was lucky, because the surrounding area on my drive to and from was A LOT worse.

Hey Bill, sorry to hear about the house and the storm damage. Glad to hear that you and your wife are OK. I wanted to say that I'd be down for coming to the gtg, but have to work this weekend on Saturday. Only plus I see that now you are rescheduling it...next time hopefully I can come. Jersey isn't that bad of a drive.

You should keep it on, only add "bring chainsaws, carpentry tools, grills and coolers."

Sorry to hear about the car but j am glad you guys are ok. Thanks for the offer I was going to call you the other day because my central ac was messed up but I got it fixed on my own. I guess it was hit by lightning and fried a relaythe circulator fan would not shut off I replaced the relay and it is fixed. I got lucky with that.
