Firestone Tires

Has anybody tried Firestone's Transforce HT tires. It's tire time and I got a local quote of $116.95 plus extras per tire. Also, how tall a tire have ya'll been able to get on the duelly's?

And why not,I've run them for over 50,000 miles and you only lose 1/4 inch of clearance!!! I tow up to 30,000 and have pulled the Sleds and they never attempt to touch!!!

ANYTHING with FIRESTONE on it will have issues. They have had more controversial problems than ANY other tire manufacturer in history & that goes back to my grandfathers generation.

I'm not trying to be a a**h*** & attack you. Its just that they have a T-E-R-R-I-B-L-E reputation. My wifes suburban had them from factory. Had frt end problems 'till I replaced them w/ Michelins, which. IMHO, are the best tire money can buy.

Whatever you do, good luck!

Blowinsmoke, Mine touched at the sidewall unless I pumped them to over 80#. If you only have a 1/4 inch when they are sitting won't they touch with a load going over bumps and the such. Have you rotated them yet? Were there any touch marks....If I could put them on and run them at 65psi they would be on there. On stock rims at 80psi on my truck only the centers wear. ks
