Haven't had a chance to play yet. Been doing the real thing all day long :)
This is the only time that I get to check up on what is going on, on the internet since I don't have internet service at our new house.

How you been Hoss?

Yeah, right. Your an engineer on a truck. That means you're into your second movie and you third bowl of ice cream. [laugh]

Know what we used to call the engineer on the truck? Driver. I don't think he even had a name. Chief even called him Driver. Now he's an engine captain and we still call him Driver. Oh yeah.....and on the rare occasions the stick went up, he could operate that too.

Must admit though, truckies come in handy once in a while. They cut nice holes in the roof so we can get in and put the fire out, and they're awfully helpful during overhaul. [laugh] [laugh] :p

Use to use them for lift assists on really obese patients until we figured out that we couldn't fit more than 1 truckie through the door at a time.... [laugh]

And I can only say that because for 5 years, our first in truck was a mutual aid rig 10 minutes out. We also ran 2/0 staffed engines.
Been on one or two where the operator set the pump and then laddered the roof and cut a hole while the I made the initial attack.....

Then again, that was in the old days before OSHA took all the fun out of it with 2 in/2 out.

We eventually ended up with two engines, a squad and a truck, so I know what the truckers did in my house.. [laugh] [laugh] [laugh]

We had a structure fire this morning (sat) about 1:30. We had 2 depts on scene when I heard them ask over the radio for us to use the deck gun on our pumper. Well apparently some guys on the back side of the house did'nt hear the traffic, and suddenly they were hit with a blast, knocked down and rolled across the yard. [whistle] The walls were pretty much gone so it went straight through. Luckily no one was hurt and afterwards got a pretty good laugh out of it. [laugh]
