finnally got my a/c charged and I am still sweating
I got my a/c charged with 134a and now it cools to 50 degrees at the vents. but after it runs for a while the compressor starts to lock up for a second then it frees up for a bit then locks again.. please help I am tired is sweating.
someone told me the expansion valve couls be bad and someone else told me the drier could be bad, but I really do not know about a/c systems.

The drier should have been changed before it was charged with 134a. The dessicant in the old one is not compatible with 134a. 50 degree vent temps might be all you can get with the 134a. Is that temp on the highway? What was the outside temp?

maybe i am just lucky. flushed system changed drier and used ester oil. pulled the cycle switch tube out about 2 inches get 38 to 42 degree air on my 90. on max air. i know 134 is not as good as 12 because when i use the fresh air button temp rises about 10 degrees.

Today I ordered a new drier. I also found that the pressuer switch was unplugged. I plugged it in and now it seems to be working good. Tomorrow I will still put in the new drier. Today it was 100 here and driving down the road the vent temp was 50 I guess that is not too bad
