Finally installed the Max Flow System

I went camping last week, it gave me plenty of time to take apart the factory lines and replace them with the Wildcat Max Flow System. This also gave me plenty of incentive to get the job done.

The only problems I had were the same as everyone else. The braided fuel lines are a pain. No fuel showers. I had to tighten a few of the fittings to stop a slow leak.

My fuel pressure runs about 14-14.5 pounds on idle, and when I was returning home pulling my fifth wheel, it never went below 12 pounds on the hills.

Now my truck really is dreaming of new injectors! Come on clutch go out so I can upgrade!

COOL ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ain't it?

It makes me wonder how many lift pumps might have lived a little longer with a less restrictive system like this. I gained about 1.5 psi pressure @ idle after installing mine.

Mine idles at 17-18psi... Can pull it below 11psi, even with 350ish hp. It's a GREAT setup.

IIRC, the kits sells for about $130. Worth every penny.

If you want to go cheaper, call Wildcat and order JUST THE FITTINGS. You can then do up some socketless hose or the like from Summit Racing (etc.) for maybe a bit less money.

Once you figure out what's going on and finally get it on, it's great!

Dieselminded

-Cheapest way to solve LP problems of excessive cycling.
-Boosts pressure levels above danger range up to about 450 HP
-Eliminated my need to consider a FASS
-Been 42,000 miles in new LP I installed when I first bgt the truck used...and no drop in Fuel pressure since.

I highly recommend it...especially with newer 1/2" lines!

MK4288 - not what I would call an easy install. One of those where doing it the second time would be about 1/3 the time, IMO
