It finally happened...
Playing with fire, I mean Smarty, and my stock trans is not happy with me. In fact I think it hates me. Now whenever I punch it and the trans downshifts it just shifts out of gear and the RPMs go full throttle and it won't shift until I completely let off the throttle. Looks like a local trans build is in the near future. Full billet ftw. Whats the record for lowest amount of miles on a trans needing a rebuild? I just kicked over 37K and I bought the truck with 22K on it.

Well I bought my truck used with 61K on the clock but within 2wks of me using a programmer my, trans. down right hated me and wouldn't forgive me at all. So, if the record is for time frame.....but the previous owner had some type of program. on it and put the trans. on it's last leg so to speak. I just pushed it over.....finished it off.

sounds to me like when i burnt the clutches in my old tranny. When I romped it first would hold, second would grab then rev way up and wouldnt shift to third.. my 2nd gear band was damaged too. then when i let off it would shift to 3rd and then if i got back on it more slippage.
