I've had several different ones. I had JCWhitney brand on my 01 (which were really EGRs) and they were well made and fit great.
I had some ebay flares on my 03 (like $140 ones) and they were thin and had problems with bubbling. However they fit great.
The Bushwacker Extend a fenders I have now are the thickest and look like they are made the best of any I have had, but don't fit as good as the others. Not that they fit bad, but the mounting setup and nice tight fit is not as good as the others.

flares...
I am a painter by trade and day in and day out have to deal with painting aftermarket parts of all kinds. Generally aftermarket parts suck. I bought a pair of bushwacker flares for my 07 mega cab and they are flawless and have a totally oem look. The fit was not bad but I am a perfectionist so I spent about an hour and a half with a fine hand file and slowly shape the edge to fit the truck perfectly without the rubber gasket in place. Therefore once the gasket is installed they look great! If you have them painted don't go cheap! Find someone who is using quality paint and who is got a backlog in work. You may have to wait a little to get them done but the shops who are busy nowadays generally do quality!

I installed a set of Bushwacker Street Flares on my 3500, which as it turns out, are exactly the same as the ones that come on a Power Wagon (Bushwacker OEM's them to Dodge). Great fit and a good quality product.

I had some from eBay on my old truck also and they faded real bad, then I decided to paint them and it chipped off when I was washing my truck once. Now I have the bushwacker pocket flares and I think they look great. Kinda expensive tho.
