feels like a miss
truck runs great . but when engine running stoped and in gear,like waiting on a light, my truck seems to miss some times,almost like a small burp,stumble,muffled small backfire or something recycling .it does seem to be exhaust related. i think. i can hear and feel it but a passenger in the truck would not notice it .anyone else have someting like that happen to there truck. ---its an 07 quad cab 5.9 automatic trans

Mine does something like this also, but it will do it anytime, although it seems like it does it more when it is cold and the intake heater is cycling. Sounds like muffled backfire out the exhaust. It did it twice about 5 seconds apart last night just after I started it.

yes its mostly noticeable ,on my truck, when it warm and ideling in drive ,but it will do it in park aswell. it does feel like something is cycling.i have opened the hood and listened outside and can hear it but cant tell where it coming from .its not the a/c unit.

"feels like a miss" When I seen that I thought of that country song "Man I feel like a woman" lol. Sorry, I had to share.
If it's not the AC or the grid heaters. the only other thing I can think of that might cause the mighty cummins to hiccup would be the cooling fan cycling ?
