Faster spool for the non ballbearing crowd

A racer friend of mine tould me about this micro blue finish he uses in his race car to free up horsepower lost to friction in the bearing races. so looked up there site and they do turbos too. has anybody tried this? or even heard of this stuff? my buddy says it makes a noticeable difference in his car. tried to call today for prices and more info but no answer. thought it was intresting so i posted it. check it out let me know what you think.

Yea sounds promissing I love my 62ss but if it spooled a little faster i think I would avoid some of the early egt problems associated with it early on in spool up.......

These types of coatings have been used in racing for years, on pistons, rings, valve guides, all sorts of things. They really do work, but on turbo bearings I can't imagine it making a noticeable difference.

Right but you never know they are always thinking up new things all the time and these turbo's we are running now are one discovery away from being outdated.............

Hey if you guys are looking for some good non-friction sprays my dads place where he works has a type of teflon that they spray on bearings and stuff and when it runs it embeds itsself into the pores and makes alot less friction, his boss had a camaro that he sprayed the engine and when he was coming home from kentucky to indiana he lost oil pressure, he drove all the way home and pulled the engine apart and not one scratch on the bearings. but anyway they can spray teflon for the bearings, they have ceramic for the inside of exhaust which keeps heat way down, they also have a blue teflon for fuel ports, that s**t is sick you can't even get a bead of water to stick to that stuff I have had it on a fourwheeler, it's just like porting and polishing but better, Give them a call at 765-482-1100 The company is Metal Technology of Indiana
