FASS vs Airdog

Greetings all,
I'm getting ready to upgrade my fuel system and I would like to hear opinions on FASS 95 vs Airdog Demand Flow pumps (noise, reliability, etc). Is there any difference, and if so, is there a justification in the $100.00 or so difference in price?

Thanks very much.

It pretty much comes down to personal opinion. I have an airdog and love it. Customer service has been great from airdog so far. I had my pump go out after only a week of having it on my truck and I jus shipped it in to them, they fixed it and shipped it back complete with new filters. Have had zero problems since.

Just installed a ADII165 on mine. It was a easy install and I am very happy with it.

When I first called them, I told them my lift pump left me stranded and they replied, sorry, no problem we will get you a new one ASAP. I had to explain it was the stock pump that left me stranded and the proceeded to answer all my questions and get my new system shipped out the same day! Great people!!

I have a fass 150 going on this weekend. I don't want to start anything but man there's alot of problems posted on other diesel sites about AD systems that people have installed. I was going with AD but got a good deal on my Fass. I think they would take care of you with either system.

I have had my AD150 installed for about a month. No problems at all. I think planning is the key. Get the kit out of the box and make sure you have everything you need before you start the install. My pump is not loud. I hear it when I first turn the key and if I'm stoped at a light with the radio off. It not ba at all.

Thanks very much everybody. I'll probably go with the AD100 demand flow just because they're supposed to be just a little quieter, ~$100 cheaper and come with a lifetime warranty. I think the 100 will give me sufficient pressure and volume for planned mods.

As always, I appreciate the support!

I have an Air Dog 150 on the way, will be putting it on over the Turkey Day weekend. I have read ALL the posts I could find regarding them both, looked at the installs on them both, either one would do you a good job. I chose the Air Dog because I have heard them both running and I liked the sound of the Air Dog and so many people have been really happy with theirs from the install out, just a few with problems, and Air Dog took care of them immediately, good PR when it comes to customer service.

CD,
I haven't had the benefit of personally hearing either of them, but based on what I have read here, it's six of one, half a dozen of the other... just one is a little quieter than the other.

Please post after your install. I'd love to know what the snags are, if any.

Thanks much!

I had a FASS on my 98 for 150,000 miles with no issues. Over the 150K the fuel pressure only dropped about 1/2 psi. It was serial # 0004, My nephew has serial # 0003 and has almost hit 200,000 on his with no issues. Just picked up an 03 HO and will buy a FASS for it soon.
