fass lp and still start issues

have been having trouble to get truck to start. 4 sec, 6 , 8 secs cranking to start. then it runs fine. then no start. no codes
install fass lp and truck still wont start. mechanic used ether to get er started and runs fine. shut truck off and restarts with 2 secs cranking.
leave shut off couple hrs, no start!
i now get codes 2509 and 0628. what gives?
why no start? old lp must've still been good, i think. help, need truck for work

I'm no expert by any means but I just installed a Fass on my truck. Sounds like it's either sucking air OR your pump maybe isn't running untill the truck actually starts. Can you hear it running when you turn the key on?

try disconnecting the fuel line from your lp to your cp3 at the cp3 and turn the key to the on position if the line starts shooting fuel instantly then your fass is fine but if it takes 3-4 secs then you have some air in the lines......as far as injectors take your truck to a diesel injector shop and let them look at it

maybe its the fca malfunctioning.........i had 04.5 that had the same problem and i changed the injectors, and two lines and then found a bad fca that would stick......the truck would rev to 4,000 rpms and STAY there for a good 3-4 secs with my foot off the gas.....then later if you would shut it off the truck would take 10 sec to crank.
