FASS and modified CP3...ATTN: Diesel-Dan

Quick question i notice on DPP's website they offer pumps for people with modified cp3's. I am running a stage 2 pump, so am i in need of an upgraded FASS? Diesel-Dan what is your opinion on this?

Honestly......

Both of these will work:

The top one will be less noisy...but they are both are more manageable after the noise updates.

You are good to about 25 PSI on that pump. If you go any higher...motor amperage gets a bit much. These kits were not built for high pressure...wasn't needed back then. BUT i have talked to Jon at Floor It and he said that you can comfortably run your Stage II pump in the 20's and will be just fine. Any gains from any higher head pressure would be very minimal if not any....

IIRC, FASS sells a pressure spring to up the pressures. Might be a good time to have the noise upgrade done on it.

WELL...you can get a spring like Blue said. PS-1020 will get you about 21 PSI or so.

OR you can get a ball valve and install it on your return back to the tank. Then crank it down until you get to the pressure you want. Just make sure you dont cut off return flow back to the tank.
