FASS or Airdog?

I am looking at lift pumps. I am trying to decide between the Fass pump or a Airdog pump. Postives and negatives to both? Also whats the difference between the FASS Platinum and the Fass adjustable pump. They are only 15 bucks difference, wouldn't the platinum be better with the remote filter on it? Hows the Airdog 150. The truck is stock im just looking to rid of the intank setup so Im buying a drawstraw 5 and a lift pump that won't die on me like the stocker. Lets here it gentlemen...

One main diff between the FASS and AD is noise, by buddy has the FASS, soon as you turn the key up you can here that pump buzzing away, the AD you can't hear at all, don't know if that matter over the rattlin the cummins do anyways...lol.. if your just lookin for a pump i have a brand new Raptor 100 that is adjustable in the classifieds for sale!

I had a fass on my 2000. It was slightly noisy, but compared to how loud the motor was, the pump running was pretty inconsequential. I liked the fass as they were the only ones who responded to my emails and told me their pumps would run at -40.

I did not care if others would not run that cold, but because someone took the time and responded to my inquiry, they got my business.

They are both good systems. I have installed quite a few AD's and they are nice. They are also cheaper than FASS.
I think both come with lifetime warranties.
Check out the DTR store, Lary will hook ya up.

I can't pull my AirDog down under 15psi even on Pl10 on the Adrenaline.
Plus AirDog has a lifetime warranty.

I love my old Fass 150. I just installed a new Fass on another truck & it's so quite we had to put our hand on to see if it was running. It has a lifetime warranty & is just as quite as the AirDog. The drawstraw 5 is great & the Fass has more options for filters. I've read about a lot of unhappy AirDog owners on cumminsforum! Maybe AirDog will have better warranty help because of the problems that were posted on the threads at cumminsforum.

I have a raptor150, very cost effective, lifetime warrenty, and adjustable regulator. AD got my vote! But I really think its about personal prefrence, there both good set-ups. Just boils down to witch one ya like the best!

Both are good systems. I have a FASS and it works well. But if I were buying again.... I'd buy the AD!
FASS seems to be going through some internal upheval. Their top Customer Service Tech. got fired for taking good care of customers.
Last time I called they were less than helpful.

And, as stated above, buying the AD from the DTR store helps this site stay free and gets you a great price.
