Mine has held 18psi at idle for over 2 years now. A number of things, what spring is installed, what fuel pressure gauge and where is the sensor tapped into the fuel?

you may have a problem with your fuel pressure gauge if you have one. ive had some issues with my gauge here lately and it was just something minor to fix it

The spring is probably for pressure adjustment. One of the Fass systems I purchased had an extra spring for different pressure. It goes behind the return fitting off of the pump(the line that tees into your fill neck).Remove the fitting and there should be a spring and a rubber ball.If it looks similar to whats in the pump, compare the stiffness of the two. The stiffer the spring the higher the pressure. If the spare spring is longer it could be for a 150 series,IIRC they are longer.

Don’t run that extra spring. Its in the kits on accident and i guess there are a few of those kits still out there that have them. That is meant for 45 psi.

I’m guessing you have a 95 Series FASS based on the pressure. Those systems are in the 11-12 PSI range usually. You will not hurt anything at the pressure you have as the CP3 loves any positive pressure.

Stock is 8 PSI for your truck, so we are above that. Now if you want more, contact your dealers and give them your unit serial number (The one on the front tag, not the square one on the T-block). I will get you the correct spring to put you a touch higher if you wish.

BUT if you do have an isolator, check there first.....and also if you have any leaders in-line, make sure you bleed all the air out of them as well.

yeah its a 95. what would 45 psi cause, harm to the pump im guessing? not the cp3 but the fass? also diesel dan? i bought my pump from dpp here in missouri this summer. just now installed it and i didnt open the box til now. there a paper in there that says i have to return it 30 days within purchase date for the warranty... well the purchase date was like june. so i guess the warranty is no good now. or can i take pictures or somthing to prove i just now installed it?

45psi can cause some issues with your fuel filter lid.

I think i talked to your dealer today. (Dont think you bought it from us...we havent sold retail since '05).

You dont need 45 PSI. So i would keep the pressure low.

As for the wnty, ill PM you some things on that.....
