Explain the 12v

Alrighy, Lookin for a quick explaination on how the 12v engine works.

What exactly does the AFC houseing do? Is that what you"slide' forward for more power? How is that related to the fuel plates? The goals about 400hp, Always looked at 24v for adjustabliltiy but heard that you can get ther ewith the 12v and keep the mileage( hence why i wanted it to be adjustable) Jumped on TSTs web site and theres a lot of good but confusing info for those of us who dont know what part is what.

Thanks in advanced

The AFC is the Air Fuel Control. It determines how much boost you need to add fuel. You can compare it to a pneumatic that opens the tap on a beer keg. More pressure-more juice.
You can either adjust the starwheel, that's the thing inside the AFC, that will give you some result- or you can slide the whole AFC housing to leave tha tap open a bit all the time. Generally this will help your spoolup tremendeusly (if not already done) but will make the truck smoke when you step on it at low boost.

Good instructions with pics can be found at http://www.tstproducts.com/power_install.html after §11 there are two pics showing the AFC and the 4 bolts to loosen (1 breakoff bolt).

Pyro gauge before sliding it.
There is good reason why there is an anti-tamper screw holding the housing down.
