What to expect

I just bought a 2001 dodge 6 speed 3500 dually with 150000 miles on it. It is pretty much in perfect condition. i will mostly be driving it on the highway using it to pull a 20' horse trailer. what do i need to look out for? it should be able to pull it easy right?? is there any power loss with that many miles on it?? also where is the best place for gauges?? what gauges do i absolutly need
thanks for all the help

Welcome to DTR. The cummins will make more power after 100k- so you've gotten a well broken in truck Here's a good place for guages: http://www.dieselmanor.com/performance/dodge_cms.asp

The problem with the 2nd gens is that the IP is cooled by fuel so you need to make sure you get a FP guage and chances are it won't be long before you need a lift pump. If the lift pump dies it usually takes the IP with it =\

Now if you find you don't have enough power, just browse the performace section for more info than you can shake a stick at
