Exhaust question T304 or T409 stainless steel?

I'm looking at getting a cat back 4" MBRP exhaust and am currently torn on which way to go ...

Living in MN, they put down a lot of salt and other chemicals on the road in the winter so I'm mostly concerned with longevity and I expect to have this truck for a very long time. Looks are somewhat important, but this vehicle will never ever be a show truck and I doubt I'll ever mod this enough to gain any benefit from a larger exhaust.

So the question is should I spend the extra $$$ for T304 or would T409 be fine?

Thanks in advance for your input!

I put the 304 stainless MBRP on my truck in 2004 and it STILL looks great after many years of service under the same conditions as you describe.

I could only get 3 years out of the stock 409 stainless...it just would not hold up to all the salt and stuff. Worth every penney in my book

We have them here at the DTR Performance shop as well, I can work you up a member only price if you like

I ordered a turbo back MBRP exhaust system from Lary's DTR Performance Shop last week. I received the system via Fed Ex within the timeframe that Lary quoted me and the cost was lower than I expected. In addition, the service I received was excellent and will certainly contact Lary first for any future purchases.

I also recommend the 304 stainless system over the 409 given your situation regarding the use of road salt and chemicals.
