Exhaust doughnut part number

My 92 W350 is missing the "doughnut" gasket on the exhaustthat connects the exhaust pipe to the pipe after the turbo. There is a strap clamp , at least that is what I would call it but it is not a tight connection. where would I get it ? Also a couple of other questions. I had my injector pump gone through by a shop the other day and I found out that the pump was about 20% "hot" , extra fuel, I did not find out about this until after the pump was on the truck, otherwise I would have had it set back to stock . I am not interested in high performance this is a work truck, I pull my tractor and hay with it , around 10-14,000 lbs max on the towing. I am getting some white smoke which means incomplete fuel burn, right? If I bump the timing a touch would that help or hurt. I want the truck to last a long time, I really like it . also in this cold weather we are having it seems like the transmission is jumping in and out of overdrive. I saw a post talking about a possible problem with something on the injector pump causing this . And I saw a fix in the sticky section but now I can not find it . Can someone please help me locate the solution. Thanks alot in advance. I really enjoy reading all the posts lots of good information here. Thanks again

the clamp you're probably thinking of is called a v-band clamp. it's a 3" and you should be able to find one at a muffler shop or by ordering one from http://store.airflo.com/p206604.html.

having the pump turned up a bit won't hurt anything. in fact, it'll only help you when pulling those loads you mentioned. as long as you have the proper gauges such as boost and pyrometer to keep an eye on things, you'll be fine.

white smoke does mean unburnt fuel. however, you mentioned cold weather. cold combustion or cylinder temperatures will cause that. does it go away once the engine is up to operating temperature or does it continue? if it continues, it's either advanced or retarded timing. one of those 2 i've heard can cause white smoke. however, if it was retarded, i think you'd notice.

the problem you're having with the O.D. switching on and off is in the TPS (throttle position sensor) which is the little black box on top of the injection pump that reads throttle position. it can also give you problems with your cruise control. a quick check would be to clean the contacts of the body ground which comes directly off the negative terminal of the battery to the radiator support just in front of the battery. if that doesn't fix it, then the fix using the potentiometer is what you're looking for. here are 2 threads:

I don't recall there being an exhaust donut anywhere on your exhaust system... I think Jimbo ^ is right.

The overdrive popping in and out, could be the TPS (the black thing on top of the injection pump)

20% isn't that much, i wouldn't worry about it. white smoke can mean retarded timing or maybe an injector that is not running right...either way 20% isn't enough extra juice to worry about.

BLACK smoke is the unburnt fuel smoke.

There's no gasket, it's just flange to flange. If they are not lined up right or if the clamp is bent from being installed crooked the connection will leak.

I just assumed there was a gasket or exhaust doughnut. I will check it closer and realign it . It sure is leaking now. Thanks
