Transform horsepower into braking power with an available Jacobs Exhaust Brake-the only exhaust brake approved by Cummins®.
Same option they've offered since at least '97 or '98. It's not a true "Jake Brake", just the exhaust brake from Jacobs. I could run to the local dealership and get one put on my '95, except I already have the Banks brake.

Festus who quoted you those prices?
I also live in Edmonton and I was quoted the following prices:
From the local Cummins Dealer
$1383.51 and $1000 for the install = $2383.51
From the Dealer:
$1600 and $600 for the install = $2300
All prices quoted are in Canadian Dollars.
I am considering buying the Exhaust Brake from Cummins
and installing it myself

Difference in price between manual and auto - I can't tell you. Inflation in two years or a good guy discount - could be.
Keep in mind, these weren't yesterday's prices - I apologize if my statement was misleading. Certainly, something I need to check into again. I do have a contact in parts at Cummins I should see about this.
Note: I didn't take delivery of the '04 DRW as I was stuck working up North - told the fleet manager to sell it if it wasn't a problem - gone in two days when I later checked. I used the money I put aside as a down payment on a house deal I tripped over. Now working my backside off to clear some bills to order another.
