Error Codes and Re-flashing

getting a P0514 code and dodge sayas its an updateed code and I probably need to have my system updated? Does dodge typically charge for that and do i need it?

All that showed on the dash was P0514 but is the dealer correct in having the truck flashed with an update and is that somehting they charge for and do I want it done? Does it mess anything up?

sometimes it does and sometimes it doesnt. had some guys claim they got worse mpg after a flash. believe your taking a 50/50 chance
