Enough air for Mach 3's?
I recently slipped the clutch and will be getting a new one (different thread though) and I would like to do injectors also while I can. Would the stock turbo(with the setup below, about 32psi) and a FE clutch be enough when adding Mach 3's?
I basically see clutch and injectors as the next upgrades, what are your thoughts and recommendations? Final goal is in ~500hp range. I looked at the recent threads about this, they were for CP3 trucks though. Thanks!

if you are wanting 500hp you might look into mach4s and a 62/12. you can get away with running the 3s or 4s with a stock charger if you dont tow much. but a better turbo will need to be done sooner or later

Thanks, will getting the injectors and a 62/12 require studs? Only if I don't set it run <45psi? Are new era diesel injectors a quality injector?

Like already said, if you don't tow a ton, you can get by with Mach 4's if you don't turn up the other sources of fueling with a load out back. Heck, since it has been cold out, my truck feels like it has plenty of turbo for my fuel. It takes ten seconds to hit 1600* now. Well actually, since the Quad Adrenaline, my truck has never hit 1400* due to its super sweet defueling at 1250*.

You could run a Mach 3. I Ran a Mach 2.5, Drag Comp along with an AFE and a 4" EXhaust and it was a good combo on my 5spd with a Stock turbo, would get pretty hot with everthing on Kill but those injectors were nice to daily drive. Dynoed 440hp/960
And a 62/71/14 would be a nice upgrade for a turbo if you end up going that route.

Not too sure, I dont have a real life experiences with those turbos, But those Specs seem to make for a good flowing turbo. But it isn't wastegate is it? And ATS usually seems more high priced than most. Just my 2cts

I just check it out more, the A3K peaks at 42 psi, non wastegated. A4K at 47psi. Price wise ~1500 for the 3K and ~1900 A4K.
I think the SPS66 matches, the others say"for towing with fuel mods" or something, but I will be racing/towing lightly. From searching I only saw good things about the super phat shafts. Any opinions?

If it were me, and you are lookin at some jammers and a turbo upgrade, and wanna peak goal @ 500hp (some different injectors would be needed down the road. I would go with SPS 62/14 or their Silver 62 from II ....or HTT 62/14 or thier Stainless 62/71/13. Even with keeping boost at around 45 or less be ready and saving for some studs.

I was planning on sticks at the same time, I've heard good and bad about jammers, but new era's seem to be liked, and a midrange price for 150HP ones.
Between the SPS62 and SPS66, II's site says "The Super Phat Shaft 62 was designed for trucks that have multiple fueling upgrades used to tow large loads. "
I won't be doing heavy towing, so is the 66 better, or is that just a generalization and the 62 would be fine?

I love my setup. it netted me 541 hp on my 100hp sticks, both the drag comp and with the quad box made that number. it does have the capability to get hot but it daily drives and tows great. i use it for racing and daily driving 98% of the time but when i do tow its great. i wouldnt go with a 66 unless you want alot of lag and dont want to ever have to watch the pyro. a comp, mach3s and a 62/71/14 should get you right at 500 and stay pretty cool.

Iv'e ran all three HTT Pro Street 66 / HTT 64/13ss / TAD B-1 Steriod 62mm
with 150hp sticks and a Chip i would with a 62mm charger with a good exhaust side be a II Super Phat Shaft, Silver Sieries, or the HTT 62/71/13ss with dual 1" wastegates. The exhast side makes all of the difference between these chargers and the standard 62/65/12cm or 14cm
