engine shutoff

hey, just picked up an '03 2500, brand new to diesel trucks. when I shut off the engine, it gives a quick shudder, and then abruptly stops. I assume that this is a normal thing, just the engine shutting down, but if I am wrong let me know.

That lets you know your in a real truck now...LOLOLOLOL Is it a 6 speed? You really want rattle, shut that sucker off with the clutch pedal out...

awesome. i figured it was normal, but its always nice to hear. its an auto. i have been driving stick my hole life, figured I would try something diferent this time.
