I've got an Autometer oil temp. gauge sitting in my garage, so I might as well hook it up. Where can I hook it up to monitor engine oil temp.? I am already using the free port on top of the oil filter (next to the turbo feed line). Is there any other place?

i was thinking there were some more ports on the side of the block next to the oil line to the injection pump.

Don't you have a small pipe plug in a port on your oil filter mount? My truck has it. Just take out that 1/8NPT pipe plug and install your probe there.

Well then put a Tee in there and use it for both.

the line for the IP has a tee dosnt it. or you could pull a freeze plug on the bottom flange of the block tap it and use that and go directly to the pan.
