Engine noise

Hey guys, hope someone can help me out here.I have this noise coming from my engine and its not the normal tick tick noise most of us have. I guess the best way to describe is, more like a chatter noise, like a bunch of metal lightly hitting against each other. It does it most of the time at start up, then sometimes it will do it once its warm up, just not as bad and only hear it at idle. It does it with the smarty on and when I put it back to stock. The oil level is fine, truck don't smoke, fuel mileage is great and no lost of power. There's no fuel leaks and my fuel filter is new. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Have read that is was small air bubbles being seperated at the CP3 and sent back to the tank. Don't know if it is true or not but it makes some sense. Truck sitting all night or for a couple of hours may drain some fuel back to the tank and create an air pocket. It's normal for a CR truck to do it.

Yeah, my old man had a 95 dodge cummins, your right clackity clack. Between him and the noise of the truck, I had to put bull **** filters in my ears when we took a trip. I'll guess i'll just keep an eye on things and see what happens. Thanks for the reply.

I would say I have the same noise as you but mine will only do it while accelerating. Idles smooth as ever. Mine will stop when I slightly let off the accelerator once I reach my desired speed.
