Engine missing.
Recently, I posted that I was dropping in and out of lockup at around 45 mph. Now she's doing it at cruising speed, 60-65 mph ... and it's constant! This morning, while driving to work, I dropped out of overdrive in an area I never exceed 40-45 mph. As I drove at approx. 40 mph/2000 rpm, the engine began to miss. It did this a couple of times and then ran fine. I didn't notice anything else (smoke, etc.). Any ideas?

Someone mentioned batteries in my last post, so I had them checked out. I was told the batteries are good. I really don't want to throw money at batteries if I don't need them. I am going to invest in the DTT noise filter to combat the tranny issue. Do you think the engine miss is related? I've had this truck for less than a year and I've had more problems with it than any other truck I've owned, ***???

Well My suspicion is tha there is a (BAD) splice that causes spiking to the electrical system. It ruins the (fuel shut off) voltage the worst so it shuts it off and then restarts the system again. This is what mine does all the time now. Mine (FROM NEW) has it and it is a manual ( WORST PIECE OF JUNK THAT I HAVE EVER BEEN ON OR HAD ). Buy a good motor buy CAT. When hunting is over I shall be drawing up a chart for fixing this junk.

Oh, and I should have mentioned (just in case it matters) that there is another new quirk. In the morning, the "wait to start" light stays illuminated for 15-20 seconds before going out. This used to take a couple of seconds. After the light goes out, she starts right up. Might this be a product of the other symptom I'm having?
