engine lope

Run's like it got a cam in it and when in gear it try's stalling then engine races up then does it again. Thought maybe fuel filter changed it but still is doing it.
fuel gauge sayes it get good pressure. It also engine diesel rattles as if it needs a tune up! Anyone got a idea what causes this is there a sensor going out! Any help Thanks!

Yes, it is the rail pressure sensor or FCA. Do you have a rail pressure gauge? Don't run it like that long. It is bad for your injectors. You have a similar problem Sallyman is having.

Check for Codes using the key on off trick. If you have a P0192 or P0191 I think they are that is the rail pressure sensor.

Thanks for reply I have never got any of those codes so maybe FCA. Have got p0336 but I think the TST chip causes that!

Have you unplugged your TST to ensure that is not your problem? Take both your boxes off the truck. They may have a wiring harness issue or internal problem.

yeah that was my firsts on problem both are offline now and problem still happens but only once in awhile. very hard to fix if problem does not stay
