Emmisions Snap Test and RPMs
My two year emmisions test is due aagain to get my new tabs here in Spokane Washington. Last time I had to do this I did not like the fact that I was asked to stomp on the pedal 3x in a row for the emmisions test. Can one over rev. the CTD in this fashion or is the max RPM controlled electronically? I do recall that I snapped the pedal only about 3/4 way the way last time because I do not agree that I should have to floor it for this test.
Im gonna set my Smarty to half power anyway so its not gonna smoke either way.
Thanks,
Tom

at half power it won't over rev much. at full power it is possible but not enought to hurt the motor. The ECM will do it best to limit froma fuel stand point but nothing it can do to stop rev once they are going. Inertia will usually push it over 3200. But if they don't notice your peddling it then peddle it.
