emissions
I am in Denver Co. and they do lugdown opacity tests here for emissions. I just failed these parts 1ump seals air fuel adjustment 2:boost compensation/aneroid. I did have star wheel turned up a couple of clicks but thats it, could that have caused both of these? I not sure what is meant by aneroid or what it does can anyone help???????
Thanks

I'm thinking "aneroid " is the smoke screw in the back of the AFC housing..The more you screw this screw......in...the less smoke you produce, because the AFC boost line will hold the AFC foot back for less rack travel...

Backing the screw toward the fire wall reduces smoke, tightening it toward the radiator increases smoke.

I am more curious on how they can perform that style of test on pre electronic trucks and cars? my VW smokes more than my CTD and its 100% bone stock! Makes me Wonder if the state of CO is also spending millions on development of huge 200'x500' catalytic converters that they can Ariel drop on top of forest fires?

If that is the case I remember reading somewhere on here about getting replacement ones. Or a tamper head screw maybe? Try telling them they were removed when you fixed the pump as long is you get it back to stock power levels for the next test. Good luck.
