Emission related problems?

What kinds of emissions - related problems are you guys having with your trucks. I'm doing a research paper on the new "clean diesels." How is your increased fuel consumption saving the environment? Just looking for ideas.
Thanks

Fuel economy decreased by 2 mpg from my 2004 5.9L to my current 2007.5 6.7L. Oil change intervals have also decreased by about 1/3 due to increased soot from the EGR. Sure don't feel like I'm saving the environment (not to mention my wallet).

There are some small non-invasive things you can do to a stock truck to stop the soot ingestion and get a little mileage back.

For me, the cab space and the newer added features were worth it.

Getting the most up to date flashes for the ECM also gets rid of some of the "teething" pains of the first batch of 6.7's.
