Emergency airdog 100!!!!

So i spent almost 2 days fighting the airdog 100 in, i had an intake lift pump and I ran a tube to replace the tube going down to the pump, then took the whole pump out. There seem to be no issues with wiring, there should be no air, I have checked multiple times. I just cant get the pump to start pumping. It runs, but there is no suction or pressure. Please help i have a 4 hour drive tomorrow and a trailer to pull. I replaced my VP44 the other day pretty easy thought this would be a breeze?? Any advice is much appreciated.

Is the tube going to the bottom of the tank? Did you notch the draw tube so it can suck fuel? Try cracking a injector line or two on the engine, might be air in the line not allowing the pump to prime? Just crack lines and bump the starter, you will hear the pump run, then close each line while pump is running. Be sure there is fuel present at each line before tightening them. Hope this helps, good night bud & good luck.

are you able to get fuel to come out of the airdog when you disconnect it from the VP44?

crack open the 2nd filter until fuel comes out the top..then prime the system normally. check the level of fuel in your tank.

I have had similar problems with it not priming. found out that if I just crack open the 2nd filter until fuel start coming out all is fine after that. the last time it happened I was below 1/4 of a tank of fuel

When you have air in the system, you always go to the highest point to prime the system. If not, you are just chasing your tail.

alright, lucky for me its raining out, but Im gonna try the filter loose thing, although I feel like I already did, if that doesn't work I'm gonna do the 5 gallon bucket test, that should eliminate any doubt of it being the fuel level or sending unit.....J Lent, in this case am I right to think it is the VP44 connection as the highest point since I don't have it torqued down?

Yep, but you can always jack the front of the truck up to be sure.

I think the AD100 can airlock..such that it doesn't pump fuel or air. loosening the fuel filter is the only way to get the pump moving fuel again..once its moving fuel then bleed as normal.

if you have a mechanical fuel pressure gauge it'll read zero instead the normal reading.

FYI to retain credibility, air dog wired the pump backwards. i rewired it and it was like a fire hose. Thanks for all the pointers guys!
