electricals,wiring question.

I have found a kit for installing daytime running lights on vehicules that didn't have it to start with.It is basically for gaz engines vehicules as one of the wire should get wrapped around a spark plug wire.Suggested alternatives are:To an oil pressure switch (is there one on my 94??) or "any other high point 12 volt signal when ignition is in run position."

Electricals is no my forte...where do you think I could get this wire hooked onto?
thanks,Ron.

If you just wanted to make everything work good enough to pass the inspection , you could tap into the cigarette lighter , just remember if you do this temporarily , that it will come on with the key in the accessory position.

If you wanted to do it right , and make it permanent , then your going to have to find something in the wiring that is only on with the key, such as the heater blower motor.
