electrical?? help

Just replaced my heater core and now wont start. At first I was going to pull the entire dash and started diconnecting wire on the drivers side but figured I could weasel the HVAC box out if I pulled up the dash on the pas. side. Everything went smoothly until I turned the key. Im no mechanic so bear with me. Under the steering wheel was what looked like a trip button. When at first I got nothing I pushed this button in and got juice. Everything came on that is supposed to come on except the Wait to Start light. When I turn the key nothing. Wont turn over or even try. Im going to disconnect the power and try pulling what I did before and make sure there is a good connection. Could I have a short in the clutch switch, I didnt pull it but maybe got some stress. Please help, I need my truck in the morning and cant pay a mech.
