Question Electrical Causing Starter Problem??

After My Truck Sat All Night At Work, It Started Normally. It Was A Very Moist Night With Heavy Fog. After Running For About 45 Secs, The Motor Just Stopped Like I Turned Off The Key. I Was Driving Straight And Slow Through The Parking Lot. Nothing Happens When I Try To Start It Now. It Does Sound Like A Relay Is Clicking From Under The Hood But That's It. No Sound Is Heard From The Start, Zero.

There Are Some Other Odd Things Happening Now Too. The Digital Clock Display Is On Whether I Have The Key In The Ignition Or Whether The Door(s) Are Open Or Closed. It Never Turns Off.

Normally, When I Use The Key Fob To Lock The Doors, My Horn Sounds Briefly. Now There Is No Horn Sound But The Locks Lock And Unlock Without A Problem. But The Horn Works When Pushed On The Steering Wheel.

The Doom Light No Longer Comes On When I Unlock The Doors Too. It Does Work Though.

All The Electrical Appears To Be Working, Headlight, Running Lights, Insturment Lights.

Also, A Scanner Was Connected And Said It Could Not Connect To The Computer. It Did Display The Vehicle Had Low Voltage And To Start The Vehicl (if Only It Were That Easy!)

One Of The Charge Indicators On One Battery Showed The Battery Was Dead. The Batteries Were From The Factory And 8 Yrs Old So I Decided I Would Just Replace Them. No Change.

Any Suggestions Would Be Great!

I'd suspect starter contacts because of the "click" you hear, you could replace the starter (pretty expensive) or replace the contacts in the starter for cheap.
here is a link to get you started
scroll down to supersized starter contacts, and read up
http://www.fostertruck.com/dodge/default.htm

and here is how to instal them
http://www.fostertruck.com/contacts_install.htm

as for the reason the truck died and all the other electrical gremilins, inspect and replace as required all the main battery cables, also where the smaller leads from the alternator and battery go into the main fuze box, clean any corrosion/replace any frayed wiring
