A couple of years ago I bought an electric tailgate lock. The unit automaticlly locks or unlocks when you press the buttons on the key fob. The unit worked flawlessly for about two years untill about a week ago when the motor in the acutator died. I feel that was good service considering the unit was cycled several times a day for two years.

I noticed that when I press the unlock button on the key fob once only the driver doors unlocks (this is the circuit that the tail gate lock is tied into as per the installation instructions) and when I press the fob button twice it opens all of the doors. This is the circuit I want to tie the tail gate lock into in hopes of extending the life of the unit.

So the quesition is does anyone know the color of the wires that I need to tie into so that the lock acutates only on the second depression of the key fob button? The truck is a 2004 model with a build date of 8/03.

I got it hooked up today. Nice product! However, I wasn't able to figure out the double-click unlock. I think I'm on Light Green and Tan/Orange. Arizona is in a unseasonal cold spell, and I don't like being cold. I might do some wire swapping after it warms up in a few weeks.
